A voice that turns a crowd into one circle

Ahmedabad is home, and the stage is where she comes alive. Diimple Pancholi began singing at a very young age and has travelled a long road since: more than 5000 performances, from open-air garba grounds of nine thousand dancers to concert crowds of forty thousand, and on stages across Australia, New Zealand, Jordan, Africa, the UK and Finland.

Gujarat knows her as the Daandiya Queen, and she is also the voice behind film songs and Bollywood projects. Her range is unusually wide: new-age and retro Bollywood reprises, unplugged sets, dance numbers, Gujarati sugam sangeet, wedding and mehndi sangeet, and Navratri raas-garba. She sings folk in Gujarati, Rajasthani and Punjabi, and she specialises in garba, mehndi and devotional music.

Beyond Navratri, she has sung for Gujarat Tourism at Rann Utsav and at the Pavagadh Maha Aarti Mahotsav alongside Osman Mir, shared festival bills with Sachet–Parampara, performed with Kirtidan Gadhvi and Kinjal Dave in Australia, and sung in houseful tribute concerts to Mohammed Rafi and Mukesh in the United Kingdom.

In the studio she works with her husband and bandleader, Manoj Hingu of Mammu & Band. Together they make original garbas such as Kuve Re, Maa No Garbo and Sathiya Puravo, which keep the tradition intact while giving it the sound of today. Dynamic on stage and soulful in every note, she brings a complete powerhouse of entertainment to every evening.
